The 75th King's Lynn Festival closed out at the weekend with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Corn Exchange, and Tuesday Market Place was taken over by 32 stalls for the Food Festival — so if the calendar feels a little quieter this week, that's why. There's still plenty on: a Viking family day at the museum, Rhythm of the Dance back at the Corn Exchange, and a big planning win for South Lynn's cycling and walking links.

🚴 £4.1million travel hub given the green light for South Lynn. West Norfolk Council's planning committee has approved a new active travel hub on Nar Ouse Way, opposite the Health Hub, with 236 car parking spaces and 48 bicycle spaces plus showers and lockers — though some councillors questioned whether the site would actually encourage more cycling into town. 🏠 No-fault evictions banned in West Norfolk from this week. The Renters' Rights Act has scrapped Section 21 “no-fault” evictions, and any notices issued before the May changeover become invalid from 1 August. Council portfolio holder Cllr Jo Rust says the housing standards team is ready to support tenants who think they're being wrongly evicted. 🐎 Riding centre for disabled riders cleared to reopen. The Magpie Centre at South Runcton, which closed at the end of June after a case of strangles, says its horses are all well and will start returning to work this week ahead of a full reopening on 10 August.
