Hi,

Big week for the QE — the hospital's on track to become a university hospital, with chief executive Lesley Dwyer saying the pathway from here looks "very short". Out at the Adrian Flux Arena there's a fresh reason to cheer too: teenage Star Jody Scott brought the British Under-19 title home from Plymouth, even if the Linnets' FA Cup run ended a step short at Bedford.

Let's get into it.

In the news this week

🏥 QE cleared to pursue university hospital status. The Norfolk and Waveney Hospitals Group has become the Norfolk and Waveney University Hospitals Group after approval to begin the accreditation programme — meaning the QE could soon officially use the "University Hospital" title. It follows a rockier few months in which Cambridge and UEA paused medical student placements over negative feedback; UEA says it will resume once improvements are complete. ⚽ Linnets' FA Cup run ends at Bedford. Jesse Nwabueze's early penalty had King's Lynn Town ahead, but goals from Louie Kudiabo and George Moncur turned it around before the break, and a late red card for Aaron Jones made the final stretch harder. The travelling support was praised despite the exit — attention now turns to Saturday's league trip to AFC Telford United. 🏆 Stars junior Jody Scott crowned British Under-19 champion. University hospital status could mean real change in how care and training work at the QE. If you could ask the trust one question about what that means for patients, what would it be? Reply and tell us.
